We invite you to wander through our gallery and read a few highlights from the hikes we've shared. It's more than just trails and views - it is about exploring, perseverance, connection, overcoming challenges, and sometimes just about the joy of exploring together. Whether you're here to reflect, dream up your next outing, or simply soak in the view - we're glad you're walking alongside us.
Hemlock Bluffs, Cary, NC
Nestled in the heart of Cary, Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve offers a rare glimpse of Eastern Hemlock trees and peaceful trails - the Chestnut Oak Loop and Swift Creek Loop.
YHCC hikers kicked off their day exploring hiking safety essentials, learning what to pack, and discovering what it means to be stewards of our parks and natural spaces.
Neuse River Trail, Raleigh, NC
Starting at Anderson Point, the paved suburban trail hugs the Neuse River. Though shaded in pockets, the summer heat made this hike a test of grit. The relentless sun reminded us to stay hydrated and lean on each other when motivation dipped. Raven Rock Loop Trail, Lillington, NC
Raven Rock is a towering 150-foot crystalline cliff stretching along the Cape Fear River. The park has a great educational center as well.
Despite partial trail closures from recent flooding, the teens embraced the adventure - taking in the views and making the most of the day. The real highlight came when they kicked off their shoes and followed the winding cre

Hanging Rock Trail & Upper Cascades and Rock Garden, Danbury, NC
A YHCC favorite trail with rugged cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and incredible views. This hike was absolutely breathtaking! Literally! And completely worth it.
Hikers pushed their (and my) comfort limit to climb boulders, peer over ledges, crawl into tiny spaces, and cool off in the waterfall. We can't wait to do it again.
